What can I say about Ann-Sofie and Peter, that will truly and fairly explain them and their love for each other? I slipped into this wedding quite late, when the bride won a competition where I was the prize. They then choose to buy some extra hours for me to cover more of their day and I’m really thankful they did.
I went to Varberg on the Swedish west coast on a sunny and warm Saturday morning with my friend and assistant Matilda. We arrived to Hårporten in the center of Varberg at 9.30 when the bride, called Anse, was in the middle of getting her makeup done while Peter had the last touch of his hair. I could feel som tension in both of them, it would be strange if their was none on this big of a day, but through the tension there came this incredible warmth, that I hade felt from Anse already through our conversations online.
Throughout the day Matilda and I had the privilege to witness true and pure love – between two people in love, of course, but also an incredible love to their two year old daughter, Tyra. You can really tell when a child feels safe and secure and this little girl is one of those. How calm she was during the day, how she enjoyed every step – dancing, jumping, laughing and hugging. Just beautiful.
When I talked to Anse I asked her what she loves about Peter. One of the things she said was that she loves how he makes her feel. That he does the extra little things that makes her feel special. And that he is a wonderful father to their daughter. Well. You could clearly see, during the day and somewhat in this film, that he loves to be a dad and that he adores his wife. The way his eyes lights up when he is near Tyra and the way he looks at Ann-Sofie when she doesn’t know it – that’s what love looks like.
And when it comes to Anse herself, it’s clear that she is safe and calm in her position in her family and among their friends. This is a woman that truly radiates self confidence and mostly self esteem. She knows that she is highly loved and that itself is a beautiful thing to see.
I am so grateful that I had the privilege to participate on Anse and Peters day. I will keep them and their daughter in a special place in my heart for the rest of my life.
