My best friend, since almost 20 years, was about to get married. They HAD to have a wedding film, and I HAD to do it, but since I was one of her bridesmaids I couldn’t film it. So what to do? Easy. One of my other best friend has assisted me on three weddings this year, so I handed over the recording part for her and then took care of the editing myself. And that, ladies and gentlemen, was not easy. Not at all.
A friend you’ve done everything with, shared your toughest and happiest times with. To witness her and her husbands love for each other, a kind of relief to officially, in front of the whole world, be one anothers. To see her deep breaths, her almost invisible smiling while biting her lip, her tears and her high and wide laughters. To see him looking at her with the kind of love that is endless, bottomless and without any terms, how he tries to hold back his tears (without succeeding) and how they releases all the tension they have ever had and just be free. I can’t even begin to tell you how that feels. If you have ever been a part of a wedding with people you really love – you just now.
This day was not easy. There were obstacles that we don’t need to write about here, if you read between the lines, or if you were there – you know. But what this day was, was real. Authentic, true and real life. And I hope that is what this film shows. The true and loving wedding day och Camilla and Albert – two of the finest people I know.
Enjoy!
