Caroline & Joakim – Norrvikens Trädgårdar, Sweden – August 1st, 2018

Wedding films
3 mars, 2019

So… This wedding was a true fairytale. Not even joking. And therefore the choice of music. It’s just right.

But let’s start from the beginning.

In the end of July I got an email. It basically said ”We know this is a long shot, but we’re getting married on Wednesday next week and our videographer can’t make it. Is there any way you can?”. And well, let’s be honest, the timing was not the best. I was leaving for vacation in Germany the day after and I had just been away doing three weddings in one week. But of course I wanted to help them. So I said yes. And not until the day before the wedding everything was settled and I was so happy to go to film a wedding at the fantastic Norrvikens Trädgårdar again. This place is made for weddings, I can tell you that.

On the wedding day I sat in my car and drove the two hours from my home to Båstad and the rain was pouring down the entire time. ”This will be interesting” I thought. But the second I sat my foot down at the long walkway up to Norrvikens the sun came through the clouds and the rest of the day was sunny, warm and fantastic.

Never could I have imagined that this couple that I booked only the day before and I would get along so well. As you will see in the film, Caroline is the kind of person that smiles with her whole essence. She is just pure joy. Absolutely fantastic. So it’s easy to understand Joakims reaction when he sees Caroline on their first look. He cried and so did I.

Oh, did I mention crying? Ahh. Well. Wait ’til you see the groomsmen in church. My God. I get teared up just by thinking about it.

Anyway. The only bad thing about this wedding is that I only was there for seven hours. I wish I could have covered the whole day of this fantastic wedding. The couple, the friends, the families. The music. It was all just a dream come true. And a happily ever after.

Enjoy watching.

bröllop i Västerås
Ida & Andreas – Västerås, Sweden – July 28th, 2018
This is a story about a family from Västerås. Not just about a bride and groom, not just about two people in love, but about a solid, beautiful and warm unit with a mother, a father and two daughters. Ida contacted me on Facebook almost one year before their wedding day. She was interested in having a videographer for their wedding, but she was very open with the groom needed to be "worked" on before anything could be settled. The inquiry was "only" for three hours, which I don't book that far in advance, but the wedding was taking place in a city where I used to live, I was gonna have a lot of full day weddings around the date and I also ...

Tara & Peter – New York – March 23rd, 2018
It was in the beginning of March. I got an email: "Can you film a wedding in New York March 23rd? I know it's short notice, but if you could, it would be awesome.". The email came from the wonderful Anna at Rentalstories and she was planning the rooftop wedding of Tara and Peter. "Can I film a wedding in New York?" Is that even a question? That's like the dream of dreams! So I didn't have the chance to get to know Tara and Peter before the wedding, like I usually want to do. I don't want to be a stranger showing up on peoples most important day in their life. But that's what happened this time. It didn't last for long, though. Peter was ...

Gulistan & Maitham – Märsta – April 7th, 2018
Guli contacted me in August 2017 and wanted me to film their Kurdish-Arabic wedding. Since I have no boundaries I immediately said yes, despite the fact I knew nothing about traditional Kurdish or Arabic weddings. As the months went by and we arrived at wedding week I was actually panicking. Not that I would ever show it to the couple, but I was really nervous that I would mess things up, because that's what you often do the first time you do something. But no. The second I walked in the door at Gulis sisters neighbours house I felt like home. Nurcan, the sister, was so open, warm, supporting and welcoming and Gulistan showed close to z ...
