Ann-Sofie & Peter – Träslövsläge – May 20th, 2017

What can I say about Ann-Sofie and Peter, that will truly and fairly explain them and their love for each other? I slipped into this wedding quite late, when the bride won a competition where I was the prize. They then choose to buy some extra hours for me to cover more of their day and I’m really thankful they did.

I went to Varberg on the Swedish west coast on a sunny and warm Saturday morning with my friend and assistant Matilda. We arrived to Hårporten in the center of Varberg at 9.30 when the bride, called Anse, was in the middle of getting her makeup done while Peter had the last touch of his hair. I could feel som tension in both of them, it would be strange if their was none on this big of a day, but through the tension there came this incredible warmth, that I hade felt from Anse already through our conversations online.

Throughout the day Matilda and I had the privilege to witness true and pure love – between two people in love, of course, but also an incredible love to their two year old daughter, Tyra. You can really tell when a child feels safe and secure and this little girl is one of those. How calm she was during the day, how she enjoyed every step – dancing, jumping, laughing and hugging. Just beautiful.

When I talked to Anse I asked her what she loves about Peter. One of the things she said was that she loves how he makes her feel. That he does the extra little things that makes her feel special. And that he is a wonderful father to their daughter. Well. You could clearly see, during the day and somewhat in this film, that he loves to be a dad and that he adores his wife. The way his eyes lights up when he is near Tyra and the way he looks at Ann-Sofie when she doesn’t know it – that’s what love looks like.

And when it comes to Anse herself, it’s clear that she is safe and calm in her position in her family and among their friends. This is a woman that truly radiates self confidence and mostly self esteem. She knows that she is highly loved and that itself is a beautiful thing to see.

I am so grateful that I had the privilege to participate on Anse and Peters day. I will keep them and their daughter in a special place in my heart for the rest of my life.

Gulistan & Maitham – Märsta – April 7th, 2018
Guli contacted me in August 2017 and wanted me to film their Kurdish-Arabic wedding. Since I have no boundaries I immediately said yes, despite the fact I knew nothing about traditional Kurdish or Arabic weddings. As the months went by and we arrived at wedding week I was actually panicking. Not that I would ever show it to the couple, but I was really nervous that I would mess things up, because that's what you often do the first time you do something. But no. The second I walked in the door at Gulis sisters neighbours house I felt like home. Nurcan, the sister, was so open, warm, supporting and welcoming and Gulistan showed close to z ...

Isabella & Zahron – Tuscany, Italy – September 22nd, 2018
Isabella and Zahron had the most amazing wedding weekend at the fantastic Borgo Scopeto Relais, outside of Siena in Italy. This castle is the perfect place for a wedding and I feel humbled about having the chance to film a wedding here. Isabella, from Sweden, and Zahron, who grew up in Canada, met in Hong Kong, were they both lived and still live together. Their many friends from all over their world is their family in Hong Kong and you could really tell during the weekend that this is a very close group of people that really love each other and really knows how to party. The ceremony took place between the olive trees under the very ho ...

Camilla & Albert – Marstrand – September 9th, 2017
My best friend, since almost 20 years, was about to get married. They HAD to have a wedding film, and I HAD to do it, but since I was one of her bridesmaids I couldn't film it. So what to do? Easy. One of my other best friend has assisted me on three weddings this year, so I handed over the recording part for her and then took care of the editing myself. And that, ladies and gentlemen, was not easy. Not at all. A friend you've done everything with, shared your toughest and happiest times with. To witness her and her husbands love for each other, a kind of relief to officially, in front of the whole world, be one anothers. To see her deep b ...
