Mallory & Félix – Iceland Elopement – May 30th, 2019

A wedding on Iceland is probably a huge dream for many photographers and videographers around the world. As was it for me. And in 2019 I got to do my own Iceland elopement wedding film.

I had the honor of joining Cole from Nordica Photography to document Mallory and Félix’s absolutely amazing elopement at Snæfellsnes peninsula on a beautiful May day. The weather was not typical for Iceland. It was warm and the sky was blue, in contrast to the usually cold, rainy and windy Iceland. I guess the weather just wanted to match Mallory and Félix, cause let me tell you: we had FUN.

There were so many details with this wedding that was amazing. Like Mallory’s vintage wedding dress, her carefully chosen necklace, the place where they got ready all the epic places we got to see, for example a very known place from Game of Thrones, but most of all Mallory and Félix were absolutely and utterly amazing. Their vows to each other made me almost fall down, flooded in tears, on the stony beach where the ceremony took place and while saying goodbye after seven wonderful hours together I just felt ”Nooo, I want to keep going!”.

That’s really the best feeling after a wedding. To have done it all, but still want to stay in each others company.
